Inquiry letter or inquiry letter is a letter that helps a person to ask about things that are not known by the maker of a letter relating to products, jobs, funding, promotional materials, etc. The format of letter of inquiry should contain detailed information and such a way that encouraged recipients to reply and reply letter. Mail inquiries are usually written to respond to an ad or other direct communications. In a letter of inquiry and you need to explain your reasons inquiries write clearly.

In addition to the above mentioned potential buyers asking price lists and catalogs (if the items varied) and a technical description of the goods in the form of leaflets or brochures. For items that allow, prospective buyers can also request a sample of goods actually sent.
By letter of demand and supply of services, prospective buyers can ask:
1.      The form of services that can be presented by the seller;
2.      Equipment used by the seller as a support (if any);
3.      Price;
4.      Pieces and
5.      Method of payment;
In demand service offerings, potential buyers can also request a price list (according to the level of services to be provided). Usually all been included in the prospectus which has been prepared by the company selling services. Inquiry should not only be submitted to one seller, but to some sellers. This step was taken so that the price list and the information collected will be compared with each other to determine which one best suit your desires and financial ability of prospective buyers.
In making this demand letter, I use a method or style, such as: Full Block Style. Why because the form stylenya looks neat and interesting to read by the reader.

  1. Letter Head
    This is the writer’s full address.  Business letters usually have preprinted, letterhead stationary which contains this information.  That heading usually consists of a name and an address, and a logo or corporate design, and sometimes a background pattern An address heading is optional for informal letters.

  1. Date Line
    This is the month, day and year that the letter is written on. The date line appears two or three lines below the letterhead (or as many as six or seven lines below if the letter is short). If no letterhead is used, the date line appears directly underneath the return address. The date line should never extend into either margin

Reference lines should be used when the letter refers to several invoices, letters, or telephone conversations. They eliminate the need to include such information in the opening paragraph. Reference lines or blocks appear immediately below or two lines below the date line, depending upon company preference. They can begin with RE or References. If several references are listed, each may be preceded by a number or letter identifier to facilitate ease of referral (by number or letter) within the body of the document.     The recipient’s full name and address.  Generally, informal letters do not include an inside address. This is the address you are sending your letter to. Make it as complete as possible. Include titles, names, and routing information if you know them.This is always on the left margin. Skip a line after the heading before the inside address. Skip another line after the inside address before the greeting.

  1. Attention Line
    With formal letters, the "Attention: [full name of recipient]" is placed two spaces below the inside address.
    The attention line in a business letter is an element whose conventions are often misunderstood or unknown when the writer is drafting the letter. Although it is a single formality in light of the entire document, the incorrect format can lead to confusion by the recipient or undercut the sender’s professional appearance.
  2. Salutation
    Also known as the “salutation,” this is the introductory phrase, “Dear [name of recipient].”  Either a comma or a colon can be used at the end of this phrase.  Today, a comma is more extensively used, with the exception of the use of a title only, not a proper name. (i.e. “Dear Member:”).  In this case, the use of a colon would be more appropriate. 

  1. Subject line
    A word or phrase to indicate the main subject of the letter, which is preceded by the word “Subject:” or “Re:” (Latin for “matter”). Subject lines may be emphasized by underlining, using bold font, or all capital letters.  They can be alternatively located directly after the "inside address," before the "greeting."  Informal or social letters rarely include a subject line.

  1. Body Of The Letter
    The complete text of the letter; the subject matter content. The body is written as text. A business letter is never hand written. Depending on the letter style you choose, paragraphs may be indented. Regardless of format, skip a line between paragraphs.

  1. Complimentary Close
    This is the farewell phrase or word that precedes the signature and is followed by a comma.  Closing should reflect a type of farewell or goodbye as writer signs off.  Examples:  “Yours truly,” “Sincerely yours,” “Regards,” etc.
    *Note: "Thank you," is not considered an appropriate closing for a formal or business letter.  

  1. Signature
    The signed name of the writer.  Formal or business letters include the full name of the writer printed below the signed name and most often include the writer’s title and/or professional designations.

    An enclosure notation reminds readers of enclosures and appears directly under reference initials. The following are examples of enclosure notation forms

  1. Carbon Copy Notation
    Part of a formal or business letter consisting of brief words or abbreviations as notations.

Examples:
“R.S.V.P.” (Répondez s’il vous plaît) - French for “Please reply.”
The use of this notation indicates that the writer expects the recipient to contact the writer with a “yes” or “no” response to the invitation extended in the body of the letter.  Often a corresponding address and/or phone number is printed directly below this notation.

“cc:” (carbon copy) - These initials are followed by a name or column of names, indicating those people to whom a copy of the letter is being sent to.  (One-sided inked carbon paper slipped between two pieces of paper was once the method used for duplicating copies of correspondence, hence use of the word "carbon" in this notation).

“encl.” (enclosure) - Indicates that something else accompanying the letter is enclosed.

“PL/rm” (initials of persons) - Indicates that a person typed or even composed a letter on behalf of someone else. The capitalized initials are those of the sender of the letter (Paul Lazarman). The lower-case initials are those of the person who typed or composed the letter (Rachel McDonald) on behalf of the sender. The most common use for this notation is for situations where an administrative assistant composed and/or typed the final version of a letter that was dictated by his/her boss.

BAB 1
PENDAHULUAN

1.1.            Latar Belakang

Pada zaman sekarang, telah banyak alat-alat yang diciptakan dan juga di kembangkan oleh orang-orang yang memiliki pemikiran kreatif. Dan alat tersebut biasanya dibuat untuk bisa digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Demikian juga pada pembahasan tulisan ini, penulis berusaha membuat suatu alat yang bisa menjadi solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah dalam melakukan kegiatan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Pada kenyataannya masyarakat masih membutuhkan keadaan alam untuk menyelesaikan tugas atau pekerjaan rumah.
Contohnya seperti menjemur pakaian. Pakaian yang basah atau yang telah dicuci pastinya akan dijemur supaya pakaian tersebut kering walaupun telah menggunakan pengering sekaligus, tetap pakaian harus di jemur. Dan untuk menjemur pakaian tersebut membutuhkan cuaca panas untuk membuat pakaian menjadi kering dan dapat dipakai. Dalam kenyataannya cuaca tidak selalu panas, terkadang cuaca mendung dan hujan. Bila cuaca hujan maka secara otomatis tidak bisa menjemur pakaian dan harus dipindahkan ke dalam ruangan baik pakaian sudah kering maupun pakaian masih basah dan itu akan menyusahkan.
            Dari factor itulah, penulis membuat atau merancang suatu alat yaitu Jemuran Otomatis guna untuk mempermudah masyarakat dalam menjemur pakaian dan tanpa adanya kecemasan masyarakat akan cuaca hujan. Tujuan dari pembuatan alat ini yaitu supaya dapat membantu masyarakat dalam melakukan kegiatan menjemur pakaian tanpa adanya kecemasan akan cuaca hujan dan juga dapat diterima dipasaran. Disamping itu alat ini dibuat dari kombinasi alat pada umumnya yaitu Line Tracking Robot dan Autoruf yang dikembangkan sebelumnya sehingga menghasilkan suatu alat yaitu Jemuran Otomatis ini.
BAB 2
STATE OF THE ART

Seperti yang telah penulis bahas bahwa sudah banyak yang telah dibuat ataupun dikembangkan oleh orang-orang yang memiliki pikiran kreatif.  Contoh untuk alat yang telah diciptakan oleh orang yang berkreatifitas tinggi diantaranya adalah Line Tracking Robot (robot pengikut garis otomatis) dan Autoruf (penutup atap otomatis). Alat Jemuran Otomatis ini dibuat dari kombinasi kedua alat tersebut. Line Tracking Robot  ini dapat mengikuti garis hitam yang telah ada dikarenakan pada alat ini terdapat sensor yaitu sensor infrared dan photodiode yang dapat mendeteksi adanya warna hitam atau tidak. Sedangkan Autoruf dapat membuka dan menutup atap secara otomatis dikarenakan terdapat 2 sensor pada alat ini yaitu sensor air dan sensor cahaya (LDR). 
Pada permasalahannya alat Line Tracking Robot ini hanya dapat mengikuti garis hitam yang telah ada. Dari factor tersebut penulis berusaha mengembangkan alat Line Tracking Robot ini menjadi sesuatu yang berguna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan berlandaskan fungsi dasar dari alat LTR (Line Tracking Robot). Dalam pengembangannya, penulis memodifikasinya dengan alat Autoruf (penutup  atap otomatis) agar dari kelebihan kedua alat ini dapat tercipta 1 fungsi yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
Untuk membuat alat Jemuran Otomatis ini diperlukan suatu system Mikrokontroler. Mikrokontroler pada alat ini berfungsi sebagai tempat penyimpanan suatu program dan sekaligus sebagai otak serta penghubung komponen lain pada alat ini lewat pin-pin yang terdapat pada mikon sehingga alat dapat berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya. LTR pada alat ini didesain sebagai tempat jemuran kemudian Autoruf tersebut sebagai rumah dimana sebelumnya dibuat terlebih dahulu jalur hitam (sebagai track LTR) dari tempat menjemur menuju rumah . Pada Jemuran Otomatis ini terdapat sensor diantaranya : sensor infrared dan photodiode, sensor air, dan sensor cahaya (LDR).
Cara kerja secara singkat alat ini, pada saat hujan, Autoruf akan secara otomatis menutup atap karena air telah mengenai sensor air. Bila atap tertutup maka jemuran akan secara otomatis mengikuti jalur yang telah dibuat sebelumnya ke dalam rumah. Dan bila cuaca cerah kembali, maka cahaya tersebut ditangkap oleh sensor cahaya yang kemudian atap akan membuka kembali.

METODE PENELITIAN


3.1.         Metodologi Penelitian
Dalam penelitian pembuatan alat Jemuran Otomatis ini, terdapat langkah-langkah melakukan penelitian diantanya :
3.1.1.   Observasi
Melakukan observasi mengenai rancangan alat yang dibuat dari segi perangkat keras yang digunakanm, perangkat lunak yang digunakan dan juga program yang digunakan guna untuk mengaktifkan alat tersebut.
3.1.2.   Perumusan Masalah
Merumuskan masalah dari data-data yang telah didapat dari observasi yang telah dilakukan bahwa masalah pada alat ini terdapat pada perangkat kerasnya yaitu sensor. Sensor merupakan komponen yang paling sensitive dan mudah rusak karena memiliki keterbatasan yang minimal pada alat ini. Jadi diperlukan sensor yang berkuatlitas dalam pembuatan alat ini.
3.1.3.   Teori Dasar
Menyusun teori dasar mengenai pembuatan alat Jemuran Otomatis ini yang bersumber dari pustaka elektronik atau internet dan juga dari hasil penelitian yang telah peneliti dapat sebelumnya.
3.1.4.   Hypotesis
Membuat hypothesis atau jawaban sementara dari masalah yang telah diteliti sebelumnya bahwa dalam pembuatan alat ini diperlukan beberapa sensor untuk menjalankan alat ini seperti sensor air, sensor cahaya, sensor inframerah dan photodioda. Disamping itu diperlukan komponen mikrokontroler sebagai tempat penyimpanan suatu program dan sekaligus sebagai otak serta penghubung komponen lain pada alat ini sehingga dapat berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya.
3.1.5.   Desain Penelitian
Membuat desain dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan berdasarkan rumusan masalah yang telah dibuat sebelumnya dalam bentuk diagram.
3.1.6.   Analisa Data
Menganalisa data-data yang didapat selama penelitian berlangsung sehingga membentuk suatu kesimpulan dari pembuatan alat Jemuran Otomatis ini.
3.1.7.   Laporan Penelitian
Membuat laporan penelitian sebagai langkah akhir dari penelitian.

3.3.1.   Blok Input
Pada blok input terdapat 4 sensor yang bertindak sebagai masukan. Sensor-sensor ini yang dapat mengerakan dan mengaktifkan komponen yang terdapat pada suatu rangkaian. Karena masukan dari sensor adalah dalam bentuk suatu tegangan yang kemudian masuk kedalam rangkaian alat.
3.3.2.   Blok Proses
Pada blok proses ini penulis menggunakan komponen mikrokontroler sebagai tempat penyimpanan suatu program dimana program yang dimasukan bertindak sebagai penghubung antara input dan output. Selain itu mikon ini bertindak sebagai otak dari alat ini. Pada alat ini terdapat IC sebagai proses keluar masuknya tegangan. Disamping itu setiap IC memiliki fungsi yang berbeda.
3.3.3.   Blok Output
Output disini berupa Atap yang bergerak secara otomatis berdasarkan inputan dari sensor dan berupa Jemuran yang cara kerjanya sama seperti robot pengikut garis.
